CO: Hi.
me: Hello.
CO: Please put your left index finger on the scanner…. Thank you. (reads through the form) Ok, who’s Seth Bindernagel?
me: He’s my colleague from work.
CO: Who are you working for?
me: Mozilla Corporation
CO: Oh, like the search engine?
me: Not exactly: Firefox browser.
CO: Oh, cool! I’m your user! So what do you do for Mozilla?
me: I work on the community stuff. You know, Firefox is made by a community of volunteers, and my job is to conduct surveys among them, so that we now what their opinions are and the situation is in their local communities.
CO: Is there a Polish version of Firefox?
me: Sure, and it’s actually very popular.
CO: Oh really? Nice. Do you know why when I use Google here, it defaults to Polish version?
(a brief explanation of language preferences in Firefox and on google.com)
CO: OK, have a nice stay. Your visa will arrive in 5 days.
me: Thanks!

The End

(Seth agreed to vouch for my application and this is how he appeared in his conversation. Thanks a lot Seth!)
